Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking an Operations Manager for a fast-paced manufacturing site near Freehold, NJ. The role focuses on Lean leadership, continuous improvement, safety, and high-visibility improvements across multiple shifts.

The ideal candidate will drive 24/7 operations, manage a large team, partner with maintenance and quality, and lead cost-efficient capital investments while sustaining a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in a technical field.
• Seven or more years of operations/manufacturing management experience.
• Experience overseeing production in regulated environments (pharma, personal care, food or beverage).
• FDA-regulated environment experience.
• Experience leading 100+ direct/indirect reports.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Experience overseeing 24/7 operations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
• Budget management experience.
• ERP systems experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost targets.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma-driven continuous improvement and standard work deployment.
• Coach and develop supervisors and team leads; manage hiring, onboarding and training.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics to hit site objectives.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting and strategic capital investments for site growth.
