Job summary

Atkore International in Hobart, Indiana, is seeking an Operations Engineer to standardize procedures, define standard production rates, and ensure BOM/Routing accuracy. The role focuses on efficiency, uptime, and cost-improvement projects, reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, with lean manufacturing experience preferred and JD Edwards experience a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee continuous improvement projects as a Project Leader or Facilitator.
• Define standard procedures and operating variables in Hobart's manufacturing processes.
• Review downtime and rate data; use lean tools to drive improvement.
• Lead time studies, review rates, and manage changes to BOMs and Routings.
• Develop and execute Capital Expenditure Requests with facility leadership.
• Drive productivity improvement projects and idea generation.
• Own routings and routing accuracy in JDE and legacy systems.
