Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Manufacturing Shift Lead based in Hobart, IN. You will assign daily production work orders, maintain floor order entry, and serve as the first point of contact for production needs.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot equipment. Prior steel manufacturing and JDE experience are highly valued, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years' experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• 5–7 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings.
• Forklift experience is strongly preferred.
• MS Office experience.
• Experience in steel manufacturing is strongly preferred; JDE experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assign production employees daily work orders and maintain floor order entry.
• Be the floor's first point of contact for production needs.
• Identify and initiate LSNI safety corrective actions.
• Train and develop crew members.
• Assist operators to achieve daily targets.
• Assist in changeovers, quality checks and start-ups on all products.
• Track and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
