Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Electronic Technician II based in Hobart, IN, to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in our tube manufacturing operation. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or certification in an electrical field and extensive industrial troubleshooting experience.

Leadership in manufacturing and lean practices are valued. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of 3-phase power, PLC/HMI programming, and AC/DC drives, with exposure to robotics and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field is required.
• 7+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair down to the component level.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions to decrease downtime through equipment enhancements and preventive maintenance.
• Train and mentor technicians focusing on teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment, wiring and resources in the tube manufacturing operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment failures with maintenance and production.
• Assist with equipment installation and procedural improvements.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities and uphold Lean culture.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
