Job summary
Atkore International is seeking an Electronic Technician II based in Hobart, IN to maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment and wiring in the tube manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will implement solutions to decrease downtime and mentor technicians, emphasizing safety and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or expert certification in electrical fields with 7+ years of industrial troubleshooting experience, plus lean
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or expert certification in an electrical field is required (ASEET, equivalent or higher).
- 7+ years of electronic troubleshooting experience in industrial environments; tube mill/steel experience preferred.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot down to component level; knowledge of 3-phase power, AC/DC drives, PLC/HMI.
Responsibilities
- Implement solutions to decrease production downtime through equipment projects and preventive maintenance.
- Train and mentor electronic technicians with emphasis on teamwork and safety.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment, wiring, and resources in the tube manufacturing operation.
- Identify and perform scheduled and preventive maintenance for equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production to analyze and troubleshoot failures.
- Assist with equipment installation and procedural improvements.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities to promote lean culture.
