Job summary

CarMax in Virginia Beach is seeking a Business Operations Associate to support store operations, sales, and appraisals. You will handle documentation, audits, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates to ensure smooth transactions.

You'll manage cash, assist with paperwork like deal jackets and finance contracts, and mentor newer associates while maintaining accuracy and security in a fast-paced setting at CarMax.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately for compliance and reporting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems with intermediate PC skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and guiding them through paperwork processes.
• Process and audit paperwork for retail and wholesale sales, including deal jackets, finance contracts, and DMV documentation.
• Manage auction and appraisal transactions with accurate titles, payoffs, and funding documentation.
• Handle cash management tasks, including receiving payments and deposits.
• Train and mentor new associates and support store operations across departments.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and reconciliation of missing information.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
