Job summary

Areas USA, Inc. is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across the OPEX team and support New Restaurant Openings with a focus on brand, safety, and guest experience.

The role requires extensive on-site collaboration with operations and support centers, ensuring audits, scorecards, and standard operating procedures are consistently applied across all locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-unit or senior restaurant operations experience; full-service restaurant experience preferred.
• Experience with new restaurant openings, operational audits, and rolling out company-wide initiatives.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead Operational Excellence calls with clear agendas, action items, and follow-ups.
• Lead New Store Opening calls and ensure departments meet opening timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with departments (beverage, CrunchTime, Procurement, IT, Finance) to support rollouts and initiatives.
• Spend significant time in restaurant operations to ingrain OPEX culture and standards.
• Work with RVPs to improve restaurant operations using the OPEX roadmap.
• Serve as on-site opening coordinator for select openings for 4–6 weeks.
• Assist with improving the OPEX scorecard with operators and auditing processes.
• Support Training with programs such as BATB and ensure brand standards across locations.
