Job summary

Stord, The Consumer Experience Company, is seeking an Operations Manager - Operational Excellence (OPEX) to build leadership capability and drive continuous improvement across the fulfillment network. This role travels to sites, embedding with teams to coach, train, and develop new Area Managers and Operations Managers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-volume fulfillment, strong coaching skills, and a track record of improving labor, inventory, and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a high-volume, direct-to-consumer warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Experience as an Operations Manager or Senior Manager with direct reports.
• Proven ability to coach and develop warehouse leadership.
• Strong knowledge of labor management, inventory, quality, and fulfillment processes.
• Ability to travel up to 75% and stay embedded on-site for multi-week periods.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites across the network to support leader training and onboarding.
• Embed within fulfillment centers to coach and develop new Area Managers and Operations Managers.
• Assess leadership capability and operational execution to identify gaps and plan development.
• Provide training across labor management, productivity, and daily operational reporting.
• Lead by example in executing warehouse processes and KPI alignment.
• Act as an interim Operations Manager during transitions or talent gaps.
• Develop standardized operating practices and cross-site consistency.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste across facilities.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Training, Engineering on messaging and execution.
• Track trainee progress and elevate development opportunities to leadership.
