Job summary

Stord, The Consumer Experience Company, seeks an Operations Manager – Operational Excellence (OPEX) to build leadership capability across our fulfillment network. The role travels to sites, embedding within centers for weeks to coach and develop Area Managers and Operations Managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-volume, direct-to-consumer warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Experience as an Operations Manager or Senior Manager with direct reports.
• Experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or developing warehouse leadership.
• Strong knowledge across labor management, productivity, inventory, quality, fulfillment, replenishment, and warehouse flow.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and stay on-site for multi-week periods.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites across the network to support new leader training, onboarding, shadowing, and system navigation.
• Embed within fulfillment centers for extended periods to coach and develop Area Managers and Operations Managers.
• Assess leadership capability and identify knowledge, process and execution gaps; create targeted development plans.
• Provide training and coaching across core operational disciplines: labor management, productivity, performance, flow, and reporting.
• Develop leaders to independently manage high-performing operations through real-time coaching and feedback.
• Lead by example in executing Stord processes, including inventory, labor planning, and order fulfillment.
• Partner with HR, Safety, Training, Engineering to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
• Maintain documentation of visit outcomes and follow-ups for leadership escalation.
• Stay current on system, process, and technology changes and apply AI tools to improve training and operations.
