Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program through NBSTSA; certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist physician in procedural areas as a secondary circulator.
• Prepare and gather supplies and equipment per procedure card; ensure aseptic technique is maintained.
• Communicate with RN Circulator and leadership about counts, equipment, and outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing quality and safety programs and standards to improve patient care.
