Job summary

Health Alliance Clinton in Leominster, MA, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. This full-time, day-shift role supports the surgical team under the RN circulator, handling sterile setup, instrument passing, and turnover of operating rooms.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program; certification within 12 months of graduation.
• New Surgical Technologist (non-certified) may obtain credential within one year of graduation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required on hire or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing for cases with assigned surgeons.
• Prepares OR for cases by arranging case carts and sterile supplies.
• Passes instruments, sutures and supplies; maintains sterile field and counts.
• Assists in turnover of operating rooms and ensures proper disposal of sharps and specimens.
• Communicates with team and supports surgeon needs during procedures.
• Maintains stock and cleanliness of the OR department.
• Adheres to ethics and respect standards and participates in safety practices.
