Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Group in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. The role involves preparing supplies, setting up sterile tables, and ensuring counts are correct prior to incision.

You will work full-time and may be eligible for a signing bonus. The candidate should have a Surgical Technologist program background, BLS certification, and 3 years of hospital OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• 3 years experience in a hospital-based surgical service preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service and communication skills required.
• OR equivalent combination of the above.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure, such as scrubs, gowns and gloves.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions needed for surgery.
• Performs counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed.
