Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures with a focus on sterile technique and patient care.

The role requires certification and program graduate status, plus strong manual dexterity and teamwork. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus; on-site hours are 6:45am–5:15pm, Mon–Fri with on-call and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification, Surgical Technologist certification required.
• Education: Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program.
• Other Qualifications: well organized with high manual dexterity; 3 years hospital-based surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for the procedure (scrubs, gowns, gloves).
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions for surgery.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to incision and before closure.
