Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse - Operating Room at the Abington campus. This 24-hour-per-week day-shift role supports perioperative care and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate patient experiences.

The successful candidate will have a specialized nursing diploma, valid PA RN license, and strong communication, patient education, and discharge planning skills, with Periop 101 preferred.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in nursing is required.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care.
• Cultural awareness and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient assessment and care planning.
• Education of patients and care partners.
• Medication administration and prescriptions knowledge.
• Discharge planning and follow-up care knowledge.
• Nursing assessment, diagnosis, and clinical judgement.
• Health information documentation practices.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• RN license valid in Pennsylvania.
