Job summary

Jefferson Health at the Abington campus is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The role requires completion of a perioperative program, with duties spanning pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

The successful candidate will work day shifts, part-time, and participate in ongoing education and team collaboration. Qualifications include a specialized nursing diploma, PA RN licensure, and ideally BSN.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

• Strong communication and clinical judgment.
• Discharge planning and patient education knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families and staff to deliver compassionate, safe care.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Use health information systems to document care and monitor outcomes.
• Participate in safety/quality committees and implement improvements.
