Job summary

Jefferson Health's Abington campus is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The role is 24 hours per week with a day shift, requiring Periop 101 completion if possible, and a strong emphasis on patient- and family-centered care.

The RN will develop individualized care plans, collaborate with the care team, and participate in safety and quality activities. Active PA RN license and eligibility for BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care.
• Strong communication and cultural awareness.
• Ability to work in inter-professional teams and follow nursing protocols.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process.
• Partner with patients and families to identify learning needs.
• Utilize health IT to communicate and monitor care outcomes.
• Maintain safe, compassionate, and coordinated care across teams.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide preceptor guidance to staff members.
