Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support – AHA Required, or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others as a team member.
• Age Based Competencies: Knowledge and skills to care for patient populations served.

Responsibilities

• Orienting, supervising, teaching, and evaluating staff competencies.
• Conducts staff education programs for new and continuing employees.
• Ensures availability of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Manages equipment inventory, repair, and purchases for specialty service.
• Monitors and evaluates fiscal implications of practice changes.
• Collaborates with surgeons to develop care plans and update preference cards.
• Collaborates with surgical support services to introduce service-specific products and equipment.
