Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Lead/Educator Perioperative to provide direct and indirect nursing care, supervision, teaching, and collaborative planning. The role supports quality, cost-effective patient care and works with physicians and teams to ensure standards of practice.

The position requires an RN license in Massachusetts, BLS certification, and strong teamwork and education skills to lead operating room teams and optimize perioperative services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support – AHA Required, or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Orienting, supervising, teaching, and evaluating the competencies and learning needs of personnel in specific services.
• Conduct formal and informal staff education programs for new and continuing employees related to new products, equipment, practice standards.
• Ensures the availability of instruments, equipment, resource material, and supplies within clinical specialty.
• Manages equipment inventory, repair, replacement, and purchase for specialty service.
• Collaborates with surgeons to develop appropriate plan of care and update preference cards for specific specialty area.
