Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures across multiple specialties. You will prepare the sterile field, assist surgeons, and manage instruments and supplies for each case.

The role requires flexible, attentive teamwork and the ability to adapt to varying procedures. Bonus opportunities include sign-on and relocation; prior OR experience is highly preferred and BLS certification is required or obtainable within 3 months.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related certificate is required.
• 1+ year of experience in a surgical setting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for operative/invasive procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to induction.
• Assist with case setup and back-table organization; anticipate needs.
• Collaborate with surgeon to adjust setup for each case.
• Run mayo stand for simple to complex procedures when needed.
• Participate in case closing activities and turnover.
