Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support a range of operative procedures. The role involves preparing for surgeon-specific operations, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting in case setup and turnover.

Candidates should have BLS within 3 months, an associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology, and prior experience is highly preferred. This position offers sign-on and relocation bonuses.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon specific operative procedures with timely accuracy.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Run Mayo stand and assist per surgeon preference for case flow.
• Anticipate case needs and collaborate with the surgeon throughout.
• Perform first scrub, first assist, second scrub and second circulator tasks.
