Job summary

Next Exit Logistics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Carrier Development Representative to source and onboard open-deck carriers, manage carrier relationships, and help shape competitive pricing strategies for our 3PL.

You will build a reliable carrier network, negotiate rates, monitor safety and compliance, and collaborate with operations and sales to match capacity with demand. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in freight brokerage or carrier development and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in freight brokerage, carrier sales or carrier development.
• Experience with open-deck trailers is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a network of asset-based flatbed/open-deck carriers.
• Negotiate rates balancing service, reliability and margin.
• Monitor carrier safety, insurance compliance and performance.
• Collaborate with operations and sales to match capacity with demand.
• Identify market trends and pricing opportunities.
