Job summary

RXO, Inc. is hiring a Carrier Sales Representative - Open Deck in Michigan. You will source and negotiate flatbed and open deck capacity to move complex freight efficiently and competitively.

You will cultivate strong carrier relationships, maintain ongoing communication with carriers and customers, and ensure a smooth freight movement process. You will also track route changes, delays and billing, and keep information up to date in our operating systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year of transportation or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate carrier relationships while negotiating open deck capacity.
• Maintain ongoing communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, freight concerns or other issues as necessary.
• Follow established procedures regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure shipment integrity and RXO brand.
• Accurately maintain and update information in the company’s operating systems.
• Conduct research in available databases for potential leads; make cold calls to prospects.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure that carrier charges are accurate.
