Qualifications

Strong Windows 10 and Windows 11 troubleshooting experience.
Windows workstation installation, configuration, and administration.
Software installation and troubleshooting.
Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting.
Windows device drivers and Device Manager.
Active Directory and domain-joined workstation concepts.
Network troubleshooting fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
User/group permissions and local security concepts.
Application and OS compatibility troubleshooting.
Backup, restoration, and data migration fundamentals.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and execute procedures.
Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
Ability to work with application owners, infrastructure teams, vendors, and end users.
Onsite work and support for scheduled deployments.

Responsibilities

Perform technical assessments of Windows 10 workstations for Windows 11 upgrade or replacement.
Capture and maintain workstation asset details and configurations.
Assess hardware/software readiness for Windows 11 and identify compatibility issues.
Support replacement of legacy workstations with Windows 11 devices.
Build, configure, and prepare Windows 11 workstations per standards.
Install and configure business software per vendor docs.
Migrate application configurations and data from existing workstations.
Verify connectivity between Windows 11 devices, network resources, servers, and printers.
Troubleshoot Windows, drivers, services, and network/peripheral issues.
Coordinate with vendors for compatibility, licenses, and upgrade procedures.
Support pre-upgrade backup activities and rollback provisions.
Execute upgrades and replacements per SOPs and project schedules.
Support AD/domain integration and endpoint management requirements.
Coordinate with infrastructure/cybersecurity teams for endpoint configs.
Assist end users during post-upgrade verification.
Provide info to Validation/QA for qualification and validation as needed.
Document results, configurations, and issues in project tracking systems.
Identify risks and blockers and escalate promptly.
Follow SOPs, change management, and data integrity requirements.
