Job summary

Ipolarity LLC is seeking a Field Support Engineer to perform hands-on IT support and Windows workstation activities onsite in San Diego, CA. You will assess, upgrade, and configure Windows 10/11 workstations, install software, and verify device readiness for deployment.

The role requires strong communication, documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with end users, vendors, and IT teams onsite to meet project plans with minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant IT support or infrastructure experience.
• Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting experience.
• Active Directory domain-joined workstation concepts.
• Hardware, software, and driver troubleshooting.
• Clear documentation and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite and support deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical assessments of Windows 10 workstations for Windows 11 upgrade or replacement.
• Capture asset details and prepare workstation information for project assessment.
• Build, configure, and prepare Windows 11 workstations per enterprise standards.
• Verify connectivity between workstations, instruments, network resources, and services.
• Coordinate with vendors and end users during deployment activities.
• Document assessment results, issues, resolutions and status in project systems.
