Job summary

Ipolarity LLC is seeking a Field Support Engineer to operate 100% onsite in Cambridge, MA, focusing on Windows 10-to-11 migration readiness and hardware upgrades across enterprise workstations.

You will build, configure, and test Windows 11 machines, install essential software, and migrate configs while working with application owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure smooth deployments at client sites.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting experience.
• AD/domain-joined workstation concepts.
• Network troubleshooting basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess Windows 10 workstations and determine upgrade to Windows 11 or replacement.
• Capture asset details, OS, apps, peripherals, and configurations.
• Assess readiness and identify compatibility issues.
• Replace legacy workstations with Windows 11 machines when needed.
• Build and configure Windows 11 workstations per standards.
• Install and configure business and instrument-control software.
• Migrate configurations and data as required.
• Verify connectivity between workstations and instruments/resources.
• Troubleshoot Windows, drivers, apps, network and peripheral issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for compatibility and upgrades.
