Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an onsite Desktop Support/IT Support technician in Cowpens, SC to maintain and troubleshoot end-user equipment within a warehouse setting. The role requires 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shifts with occasional weekend work to align with production schedules.

Responsibilities include incident triage (L2/L3), device installation and repair, and coordinating with leadership and IT teams on projects and outages. This is a contract-to-hire position with a fully onsite work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, troubleshooting, building, and deploying desktop computers in a warehouse environment.
• Warehouse experience supporting end-use equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, triage, prioritize and resolve Level 2 & 3 incidents within SLA, including after-hours outages.
• Install, upgrades, maintenance, basic troubleshooting and repair of desktop devices, mobile devices, scanners, network equipment, printers, and end-user gear.
• Serve as liaison between site leadership, Infrastructure, other technical teams, IT support leadership and external client regarding technical projects and outages.
• Prioritize workload and concurrent projects to complete tasks accurately within timeframes.
• Escalate issues to appropriate teams to ensure systems operate efficiently within established timeframes.
• Present professionalism under pressure and focus on tasks during high-priority situations.
• Make technical recommendations to leadership regarding problems and releases.
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and optimize resources.
