Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Tech II to provide on-site IT support for Lowe's, a national retailer.

The role involves trouble-shooting desktops, printers, POS devices, and networking gear while traveling daily across Sumter, Camden, Richland County, North Richland County, and Columbia areas in South Carolina. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of IT support experience, holds a CompTIA A+ certification, and can operate Windows, macOS, or Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT technical support or field technician experience.
• CompTIA A+ (required), Network+ preferred.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and IT hardware.
• Experience with cabling (copper/fiber) is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for IT equipment including POS systems, desktops, printers, thin clients, access points, and network devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Perform installations, upgrades, and break/fix support
• Support copper and fiber cabling, including basic terminations
• Document all work, updates, and resolutions in ticketing systems
• Travel daily to provide onsite support at Lowe's locations (route-based travel)
• Work with remote teams to resolve escalated technical issues
• Occasionally work at heights (20-25 feet) and lift up to 25 lbs
