Job summary

London Approach is seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee a transportation and bridge rehabilitation project in New Jersey. You will serve as the owner's on-site representative, supervise field inspectors, coordinate stakeholders, and manage construction quality, documentation, schedule, and contract compliance.

The assignment runs from December 2026 through late 2027 with periods of increased hours during peak construction activity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of transportation construction inspection supervision or management experience.
• Bridge rehabilitation project experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction QA/QC processes and field safety.
• Familiarity with PennDOT/NJDOT standards and documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily construction oversight and supervise field inspection personnel.
• Monitor contractor work for compliance with plans, specs, submittals, and project requirements.
• Manage field reports, RFIs, submittals, material certifications, as-builts, and progress documentation.
• Coordinate material testing, QA/QC activities, and utility coordination.
• Review contractor schedules, verify payments, and support change orders and claims mitigation.
• Lead meetings with contractors, designers, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Monitor safety performance and report unsafe conditions.
• Oversee punch lists, inspections, and closeout documentation.
