Job summary

Urban Engineers seeks a Resident Engineer to lead construction inspection on complex highway and bridge projects across New Jersey, including Mount Laurel. You will guide inspection teams, review pay estimates, and manage change orders to ensure cost, schedule, and quality targets are met.

The role requires 10+ years in construction inspection with 3+ years as a Resident Engineer, NICET III/IV or PE license, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

10+ years in construction inspection with 3+ years as Resident Engineer.
NICET III/IV and/or PE license.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Guide construction inspection team and drive results across cost, schedule, and quality.
Lead project meetings and review/approve pay estimates.
Review shop drawings and resolve change orders; mitigate potential claims.
Navigate unforeseen field conditions and keep contractors, designers, and clients aligned.
