Job summary

Hill International, Inc. seeks a Resident Engineer to lead and oversee transportation construction management activities in Central New Jersey for major highway, bridge, and marine projects.

The role involves on-site leadership, contract administration, and coordination with public agencies to ensure project success. Responsibilities include reviewing progress, managing CPM schedules, and preparing change orders while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards on high-profile projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in construction management of heavy civil engineering projects; highway and complex bridge experience required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer and/or NICET Level IV Highway Construction certification required.
• Rutgers TCC, ACI and/or OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• On-site daily work in Bristol Township, PA and/or Florence Township, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Administer the construction contract and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide program and construction management leadership for large-scale design-build projects worth $500M+.
• Review work progress for contract document compliance.
• Identify changes and prepare change orders to resolve conflicts.
• Ensure jobsite safety by monitoring contractor operations and traffic conditions.
