Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Construction Resident Engineer to join our team on complex highway and bridge projects across New Jersey, including Mount Laurel.

You will guide the construction inspection team, lead project meetings, review pay estimates, and help resolve change orders to keep programs on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of inspection experience, a PE or NICET III/IV, and strong communication skills, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction inspection experience, including 3+ years as a Resident Engineer.
• NICET III or IV and/or a PE license.
• Rutgers Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC) credential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid driver's license.
• NJSAT, NECEPT, ACI, and/or NACE credentials are preferred.
• SiteManager and CapEx experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction inspection team and drive results across cost, schedule, and quality.
• Lead project meetings and oversee shop drawing reviews.
• Review and approve pay estimates and resolve change orders.
• Mitigate potential claims and coordinate with contractors, designers, and clients.
• Navigate field conditions and keep project stakeholders aligned.
