Urban Engineers in New Jersey is seeking Construction Resident Engineers to join our team on major highway and bridge projects. You will guide the construction inspection team, manage field progress, and help deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will lead project meetings, review shop drawings, approve pay estimates, resolve change orders, and navigate field conditions while keeping contractors, designers, and clients aligned.

Qualifications

• 10 years of construction inspection experience, including 3 years as a Resident Engineer.
• NICET III or IV and/or a PE license
• Rutgers Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC) credential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction inspection team and drive results across cost, schedule, and quality.
• Lead project meetings, oversee shop drawing reviews, review and approve pay estimates, resolve change orders, and help mitigate potential claims.
• Navigate unforeseen field conditions and keep contractors, designers, and clients aligned.
