Job summary

Via is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily onsite operations, ensuring safe, reliable transportation for riders and a strong driver network. This hands-on, field-focused role requires proactive leadership and close collaboration with city partners to fulfill community mobility goals.

The candidate will regularly be in Rochester, MN, onsite 4–5 days per week, addressing real-time issues and driving service improvements through data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Operationally experienced with background in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
• Relationship-oriented with ability to earn trust from drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners.
• Hands-on and proactive, in-field problem solving.
• Strategic thinker able to forecast and mitigate issues.

Responsibilities

• Run daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs to maintain service excellence.
• Guide and support drivers, building strong relationships and ensuring they are equipped to deliver great service.
• Turn rider and community feedback into tangible improvements with internal teams.
• Use data and technology to diagnose performance issues and implement efficiency improvements.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
