Job summary

Five Star Technology Solutions LLC is seeking an on-site technology support specialist to assist Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation. The role focuses on daily Tier I support for students, teachers, and staff, with strong communication and problem-solving in a K-12 setting.

You will deploy devices at the start of the school year, image computers, install software, repair hardware, and maintain inventory.

Qualifications

• Provide Tier I onsite technical support for school staff and students.
• Schedule and execute device deployment at the start and end of the school year.
• Perform computer imaging and software installations; maintain inventory.
• Troubleshoot and repair devices including iPads, MacBooks, Chromebooks, Windows laptops/desktops, and interactive whiteboards.
• Use ticketing system and document detailed troubleshooting notes; escalate when needed.
• Communicate status of tickets and other updates with school personnel; collaborate with leadership teams.

Job description

The primary focus of this position is to provide daily onsite technical support for end-users, including students, teachers, support staff, and school administrators of Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation.

The individual in this highly visible position must possess excellent communication and troubleshooting skills while prioritizing requests and remaining adaptable to a dynamic K-12 environment. Responsibilities and requirements include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Provide Tier I onsite technical support for the school by responding to issues submitted by the school staff and/or students.
• Schedule and execute device deployment at the beginning of the school year and collection of 1:1 devices at the end of the school year.
• Perform computer imaging and software installations and maintain/repair technology inventory.
• Troubleshoot and repair various devices and peripheral equipment including, but not limited to, iPads, Macbooks, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Windows Desktop PCs, interactive whiteboards, etc.
• Work within our ticketing system to maintain detailed troubleshooting notes and collaborate and communicate until problems are fully resolved, escalating problems to higher-level technical support professionals when necessary.
• Collaborate with Onsite Services Leadership and Client Experience team to ensure clear communication with school personnel regarding the status of tickets, projects, and other important technology updates and changes.
• Uphold Five Star quality of service onsite while also actively participating virtually in weekly 1-on-1s with Five Star leadership, monthly Onsite Services team meetings, and company learning events.
