Job summary

Boston Government Services is seeking a System Engineer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on coordinating configuration management, assessing system health, and maintaining plant operability across electrical and mechanical domains.

Ideal candidates will have ABET-accredited engineering education, 10+ years of direct experience, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have strong engineering background in electrical, mechanical, or chemical disciplines.
• Experience coordinating configuration management activities and implementing design changes.
• Ability to evaluate impacts of modifications on safety bases and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate configuration management activities for assigned systems.
• Prepare configuration control/design change packages.
• Evaluate impact of proposed changes on safety bases for facilities.
• Troubleshoot and improve system performance.
• Apply engineering expertise to resolve technical issues with related disciplines.
• Support electrical or mechanical systems knowledge areas as needed.
