Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) seeks a Test Engineer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This onsite role focuses on commissioning, startup testing, and ensuring conformance with test procedures within a secure, regulated environment.

You will work full-time, Monday–Thursday 40-hour weeks, with potential overtime. A ABET-accredited engineering degree and 5+ years of experience, along with U.S. citizenship and DOE security clearance eligibility, are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• U.S. citizen and eligible for DOE security clearance (Q clearance preferred).
• Knowledge of NFPA-70e and DOE/NQA-1 requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support CSU commissioning and startup testing activities.
• Plan CSU execution with sequencing and resource coordination.
• Prepare and review test records, pre-op testing binders, and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with field engineers to support component/system turnovers.
• Ensure safety, schedule adherence, and cost controls during testing.
