Job summary
Boston Government Services (BGS) seeks a System Engineer-Technical Authority to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This onsite role coordinates configuration management, assesses system health, and holds technical responsibility for plant operability and maintenance.
The position requires a BS in Engineering/Physical Science from a US ABET-accredited program, 2+ years of relevant experience, US citizenship, and eligibility for a DOE Q clearance; drug screening is
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science from an ABET-accredited program in the United States.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Successful drug screening.
- DOE Q security clearance eligibility; all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance status.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Configuration Management program for the assigned system(s).
- Prepare configuration control/design change packages; evaluate impact on safety bases.
- Perform troubleshooting and improvement activities.
- Apply system and equipment expertise to resolve issues with other disciplines.
- System walkdowns; calibration & equipment test/inspection determinations; spare parts evaluations; system turnover to owner support.
