Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) seeks a Project Engineer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This onsite role requires coordinating engineering activities across multiple teams, applying NQA-1 requirements, and delivering projects from planning through execution.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited technical degree with 10+ years of experience and U.S. citizenship, with eligibility for DOE clearance.

Qualifications

BA/BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited school with 10+ years of direct experience, or MA/MS with 10+ years of experience.
U.S. citizen status is required.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
U.S. DOE Q security clearance is required; all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance status.

Responsibilities

Provide Project Engineering support to plan, design and implement new machine tools and infrastructure upgrades.
Offer technical integration, leadership, and direction to multi-disciplined engineering teams for high-profile plant initiatives.
Apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.
Plan and direct engineering activities on projects.
Establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel.
Review progress against schedules and take corrective action when required.
