Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a System Safety Engineer II for an onsite position focused on integrating safety and human-system integration into the product lifecycle. You will contribute to safety analyses, risk assessments, and documentation while collaborating across IPTs to ensure compliant, safe solutions for defense programs.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance; relocation is eligible. You will work with experienced teams to advance safety across program milestones and customer briefs

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with risk assessment concepts.
Experience with creating technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

Execute the safety strategy for the program and integrate safety features.
Support the program IMS with system safety tasks.
Engage senior engineers for guidance on execution and reviews.
Participate in multi-IPT program meetings to address system safety.
Ensure leadership understands safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations.
Meet internal and external commitments and deliveries.
Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to ensure successful development and testing.
