Job summary

RTX is hiring a System Safety Engineer II for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will develop and execute system safety/HSI strategies, integrate safety into the product lifecycle, and work with IPTs to ensure hazards are identified and mitigated.

Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience and are able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. The role offers competitive pay and benefits, with relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with risk assessment concepts.
• Experience with creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations.

Responsibilities

• Execute safety strategy for the program to meet milestones with system safety/HSI features integrated into the product.
• Support program IMS with system safety tasks and activities.
• Engage with leads for guidance on technical execution and artifact reviews.
• Attend multi-IPT meetings to discuss system safety items and program-wide issues.
• Ensure leadership understands system safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations.
• Meet internal and external delivery commitments.
• Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to enable successful development and testing.
