Job summary

RTX is seeking a System Safety Engineer II for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will develop and execute safety strategies, integrate HSI features, and collaborate across IPTs to ensure a safe, reliable product lifecycle. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and a STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Strong writing, analysis, and presenting safety analyses to customers are essential. The team emphasizes rigorous system safety processes, risk assessment, and lifecycle safety

Qualifications

Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with risk assessment concepts.
Experience with creating technical reports, technical writing and/or creating presentations.

Responsibilities

Execute the safety strategy for the program to meet milestones with system safety/HSI features integrated into the product.
Support the program schedule and IMS safety tasks and activities.
Engage with leadership for guidance on technical execution and artifact review.
Support multi-IPT meetings to ensure system safety considerations are captured.
Ensure leadership understands safety requirements, hazards, and mitigations.
Own technical solutions and collaborate across IPTs to enable successful development and testing.
