Job summary

Cybersearch, LTD. in Aurora, IL is seeking a Patient Surgical Scheduler for a fully onsite, 4-month assignment (extension possible).

The role coordinates every step of the patient’s surgical experience, from scheduling and insurance authorization through post-op follow-up, working closely with surgeons and the surgical services team. You will schedule cases, verify benefits, obtain authorizations, arrange assists and equipment, and handle post-operative coordination while protecting patient

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years scheduling experience, preferably in surgical/healthcare.
Epic experience required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
Spanish language ability highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule surgical cases based on physician preference, OR availability, and equipment needs.
Coordinate dates with patients and families and provide pre-surgical instructions.
Verify insurance benefits and obtain preauthorizations.
Arrange first and second assists, outside vendors, and specialized equipment.
Coordinate post-surgical care, including post-op visits, imaging, and therapy.
Respond quickly to urgent requests and act as communication point during emergencies.
Enter surgical data accurately while protecting patient confidentiality.
