Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. seeks an Onsite Solutions Specialist to support a large strategic account at the customer facility. You will assist customers with procurement and order placement and manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions (Vending, VMI, Crib) to deliver MSC value.

You will bring strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills, with industrial knowledge preferred, and the ability to travel up to 10%. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to assist in order placement and quoting.
• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions (Vendor Managed Inventory, Vending, Storeroom) and optimize programs.
• Determine optimal sourcing strategies in collaboration with the Category Team.
• Participate in customer plant meetings and Lean/Six Sigma events.
• Collaborate with the account team to maximize satisfaction and identify opportunities.
• Resolve on-site issues by offering sales-related solutions and informing management for resolution
