Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an Onsite Solutions Specialist to support large strategic accounts at the customer facility. You will assist with procurement, order placement and MSC ControlPoint programs to drive savings and value for the client.

You will engage with the account team to optimize sourcing, logistics and supplier collaboration, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency at the site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• This position may require ITAR and/or CUI access.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to assist in order placement, quoting, sourcing and logging cost savings.
• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions including Vendor Managed Inventory, Vending, Storeroom programs.
• Determine optimal sourcing strategies for customer projects with the Category Team.
• Participate in customer plant meetings, Lean/Six Sigma events and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with the account team to maximize satisfaction and identify opportunities.
• Resolve on-site product and service issues with sales-related solutions.
• Promote MSC standards to ensure satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.
• Communicate customer concerns to management for effective resolution.
• Work with vendors to source products, produce quotes, and arrange training.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
