Qualifications

• Service, maintenance, or operations experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required site access credentials; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Installation/ Onsite Service Representative- Contract to Hire

Baytown, Texas, multiple openings.

Position Summary:

The Field Service Center Technician serves a dual-function role within the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) delivery model. Primarily based at the designated Service Center in Baytown, Texas, this position supports equipment uptime, peak-demand response, and technician training activities across customer Service Centers.. This role is essential to maintaining the availability of water treatment assets and developing the operational capabilities of the service team.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Center Operations: Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on equipment staged for deployment or refurbishment.

Support equipment uptime objectives and readiness requirements.

Assist with equipment preparation, testing, and mobilization during peak-demand periods.

Conduct hands-on training for Field Service Representatives and operator-level personnel on: Equipment operation, Maintenance procedures & Safety protocols.

Maintain accurate inventories of spare parts, consumables, and chemical stocks.

Initiate replenishment orders as needed.

Document Service Center activities, equipment condition reports, and training records in accordance with site standard operating procedures.

Support general Service Center operations during seasonal and non-seasonal peak-demand periods.

As-needed: Operate, monitor, and optimize water treatment systems at customer facilities, including: Media filtration, Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse osmosis (RO), Ion exchange (IX), Deoxygenation, Electrodeionization (EDI), Clarification, Bioreactors, Filter presses, Chemical injection systems..

Troubleshoot and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, including: Motors, PLCs, Variable frequency drives (VFDs), Valves, Air compressors, Ejectors, Process pumps, Blowers & other instrumentation items.

Conduct analytical testing for turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO?, O?, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific parameters.

Communicate system status and technical findings to customer management and operations teams.

Prepare detailed technical summaries of work performed.

Maintain accurate and current site paperwork and field service records.

Respond to emergency service requests.

Hours for this position:

Dupont Schedule - (first 2 weeks, M-F day shift/8 hours. The length of this may also depend on how comfortable they are with the employee being on shift). Then, on a 4-week cycle: 12-hour shifts, Rotating day and night shifts; Built-in overtime & several consecutive days off, including a full 7-day break. The work pattern is as follows: 4 night shifts, 3 days off, 3 day shifts, 1 day off, 3 night shifts, 3 days off, 4 day shifts, 7 days off. In simpler terms- Week 1: 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off, Week 2: 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 1 day off, then 3 night shifts, Week 3: 3 days off, then 4-day shifts, Week 4: 7 consecutive days off.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet one of the following experience and education requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, STEM, or a related technical field, or a technical certificate in instrumentation, controls, or a related discipline, with at least two years of relevant experience preferred

service, maintenance, or operations experience in an industrial environment preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to obtain and maintain required site access credentials.

Ability and willingness to perform physical duties, including lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and entering confined spaces.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Ability to work rotating schedules and provide on-call and emergency response support.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PLC control systems, PLC programming, and controls troubleshooting.

Previous experience in water treatment operations or industrial services.

Experience mentoring or training technician-level personnel.

Great attitude, open and willingness to learn, good work ethics, and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Attitude and work ethic over maintenance, mechanical and water treatment experience,

Having forklift experience would be good, because they’ll get them certify for Forklift so they can help move pallets/inventory.
