The role involves applying systems engineering, naval operations, and program management to large-scale maritime missions and fleet activities. The onsite engineer will work with project managers, customers, engineers, and government personnel to execute program activities daily and contribute to system integration, testing, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with strong systems engineering foundation.
• Extensive experience in naval/maritime contexts and defense-related programs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams and manage complex programs.
• Experience coordinating with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills for briefings and technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite senior technical representative at the customer site in San Diego.
• Support program planning, risk management, and delivery of commitments.
• Lead engineering activities across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
• Translate customer needs into engineering requirements and recommendations.
• Facilitate meetings, reviews, and customer engagements; manage artifacts and schedules.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required for engagements and demonstrations.
