Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Technical Deputy Program Manager to support a customer site in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on systems engineering, naval operations, test and evaluation, and advanced program management for large-scale maritime missions.

The successful candidate will act as the onsite senior technical representative, guiding engineering teams, managing schedules, risks, and stakeholder engagements, and delivering technical briefings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (systems engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, ocean engineering, electrical engineering, or related).
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering, naval engineering, maritime operations, or program management.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex maritime or defense systems.
• Experience working with customer, government, military, or operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite senior technical representative at the customer site in San Diego.
• Lead program planning, execution, and customer coordination with the Leidos Project Manager.
• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines and stakeholder organizations.
• Translate operational needs into engineering requirements and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings and program status updates.
