Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Program Lead to support a customer site in San Diego, California. The role focuses on systems engineering, naval operations, test and evaluation, and technical project-management across large-scale fleet activities.

The selected candidate will serve as the onsite senior technical representative, interfacing with Leidos Project Manager, customer leadership, engineers, fleet personnel, and government partners. Extensive collaboration and risk management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, ocean engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering, naval engineering, maritime operations, fleet support, or related field.
• Experience with complex maritime, naval, shipboard, submarine, underwater, or defense systems.
• Experience collaborating with customer, government, military, engineers, or operators to address mission needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite senior technical representative for Leidos at the San Diego customer site.
• Support day-to-day program execution, coordination with leadership and technical personnel.
• Assist with program planning, risk management, schedule management, and delivery of commitments.
• Lead engineering activities across multiple disciplines and stakeholder organizations.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and recommendations.
• Coordinate with engineers, fleet personnel and government stakeholders to resolve issues.
