Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer – Test and Evaluation to support maritime systems at a customer site in San Diego, CA. The role involves serving as the senior technical interface among engineers, fleet personnel, and government leadership to translate operational needs into feasible solutions.

The position requires extensive travel, including overseas deployments, and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in test and evaluation for maritime systems or defense systems.
• Strong systems engineering background with ability to translate operational needs into technical plans.
• Ability to work in a customer-facing environment with senior government and military personnel.

Responsibilities

• Support test and evaluation activities for maritime systems, fleet operations, exercises, demonstrations, and operational assessments.
• Serve as technical representative at the customer site in San Diego, coordinating with engineering and fleet personnel.
• Translate operational requirements into engineering, testing, integration, and demonstration activities.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, operations, program management, and government stakeholders.
