Job summary

Leidos seeks a Technical Deputy Program Manager to support a San Diego customer site, applying systems engineering, naval operations, and program-management expertise to large-scale maritime missions.

The role serves as onsite senior technical representative, coordinating with customers, government leadership, and fleet personnel to ensure timely, quality program execution and rigorous technical baselining.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field related to systems/naval engineering or project management.
10+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering, naval engineering, or maritime operations.
Experience leading or coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines or organizations.
Direct interaction with customer/government/military stakeholders to address technical requirements.
Experience delivering program plans, schedules, risks, and status to leadership.
Experience developing and reviewing technical documentation and engineering analyses.

Responsibilities

Serve as onsite senior technical representative for Leidos at the customer site in San Diego.
Support day-to-day program execution, mission priorities, and customer coordination.
Lead engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines and stakeholder organizations.
Translate customer needs into technically sound requirements and recommendations.
Track milestones, risks, action items, and deliverables with effective program management.
